Chula Vista — “beautiful view” in Spanish — is the second-largest city in San Diego County and the beating heart of the South Bay. Third Avenue is its historic main street: family-run kitchens, coffee bars, live music on the weekends, and the kind of neighborhood energy you only get from a place that’s still owned by the people who live in it.
California Sushi Bar has been part of that street since 2001. Instead of chasing trends, we’ve built our menu around the towns we call home — because the best way to understand Chula Vista is to taste the places it connects to: Bonita just north, East Lake to the east, San Diego up the 5, and the coast stretching to Oceanside.
